Hello,
안녕하세요
My name is Daniel Na.
제 이름은 나윤성입니다.
I am currently a lower sixth student studying at Claremont Fan Court school.
저는 현재 클레어몬트 학교에 다니고있는 12학년 학생입니다.
My ambition as a student or as a personal is to study mathematics at
Oxford university.
제가 학생 또는 개인으로서의 야망은 옥스포드 대학에서 수학을 전공하는 건데요,
The reason to this is quite simple.
그 이유는 참 쉽습니다
Mathematics is the subject which intrigues me the most for several reasons.
저를 가장 흥미롭게 하는것은 수학인데요, 이에 따른 많은 이유가 있습니다.
The factor which draged me in to the world of "mathematics" is simply one of the
question Fermat announced.
저를 "수학"이란 세계로 집어넣은 것은 다름 아닌 퍼멧 이란 수학자가 낸 문제에 있었습니다.
When I first saw the question it made me wonder how on earth can this simple
looking line makes people think.
그 문제를 본 저는, 어떻게 저렇게 단순해 보이는 한 줄이 많은 사람들을 생각 하게 하는가?
였습니다.
Yet, even I couldn't solve it.
이런생각을 하면서도, 저조차도 그 문제를 해결하지 못하였습니다.
This had led me to meet several other problems and became one of the most
contributing driving force.
이것은 저에게 더 많은 문제를 접해볼수있는 기회를 주었는데요, 이로 인해 제 야망을
뒷받침 해줄수 있는 제일 큰 원동력이 되었습니다.
I wanted the best possible education in mathematics, and to achieve this
I wanted to study at oxford.
저는 제일 좋은 곳에서 제일 좋은 교육을 받고 싶었으며, 이런 조건을 얻기 위해서는
옥스포드 대학에서 공부해야겠다고 생각하였습니다.
Ofcourse to get into Oxford, I needed to be at the top of my academic studies.
물론 옥스포드에 들어가기 위해서는, 제 학교생활에서 상위권에 들어가야 된다고는
알고 있었습니다.
However, I've figured out that Oxford thinks interview as one of the important
selection process.
하지만 제가 또 한 가지 알아 낸 것은 옥스포드에서는, 학생들을 골라 내는 과정에서
인터뷰를 중요하게 여긴다는 것이었습니다.
I realised that I am weak in thise type of field, and hence decided to train
my confindence and interview skills during my summer holidays.
저는 이런 분야에서 현저하게 떨어지는 걸 누구보다 잘 알고 있었고, 그러므로 인해
여름방학 동안 제 자신감이나 인터뷰 기술들을 단련 해야겠다고 생각했습니다.
